Job Overview
The Learning Experience is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join our growing Accounting team. This entry-level role is ideal for recent college graduates or early-career accounting professionals looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting within a multi-entity organization.

The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting operations, account reconciliations, month-end close activities, and financial reporting while working closely with Accounting, Finance, Payroll, and Operations teams. This position offers hands-on experience, professional development, and opportunities for career growth within a national organization.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting Operations
  • Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
  • Support maintenance of general ledger accounts and accounting records
  • Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for financial reporting
  • Ensure accounting records are accurate, organized, and complete
Reconciliations and Reporting
  • Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and investigate variances
  • Support preparation of financial reports and spreadsheets
  • Help maintain reporting schedules and accounting documentation
  • Assist with ad hoc reporting requests from the Accounting and Finance teams
Audit and Compliance Support
  • Assist with audit preparation and gathering supporting documentation
  • Support compliance with company policies and accounting procedures
  • Maintain organized records to support audit readiness and internal controls
Systems and Process Support
  • Work within ERP systems such as NetSuite and other financial platforms
  • Assist with data entry, account analysis, and system updates
  • Support process improvement initiatives and accounting workflow efficiencies
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Accounts Payable, Payroll, Finance, and Operations teams to resolve accounting-related questions
  • Communicate professionally with internal stakeholders regarding accounting requests and documentation
  • Support special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Recent graduates are encouraged to apply
  • Internship experience in accounting, finance, or related fields is a plus
  • 0–2 years of accounting or finance experience preferred
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with ERP systems such as NetSuite, Oracle, or Intacct is a plus
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities
  • Eagerness to learn and grow within a professional accounting environment
