Join our growing Accounting team as a Lead Accountant and play a key role in preparing our company for public-readiness. You’ll manage month-end close, intercompany transactions, and variance analyses, while supporting technical accounting topics like ASC 842, capitalized software, and debt financing. We’re seeking a CPA (preferred) with 3+ years of experience, strong GAAP and SOX knowledge, and hands-on NetSuite expertise. Own assigned monthly close activities including preparation of journal entries, intercompany transactions, account reconciliations, etc.
Perform monthly, quarterly and annual variance analysis to ensure resulting financial statement results accurately reflect business activity and are in accordance with US GAAP.
Partner with Technical Accounting team to provide the operational support on various technical accounting topics including ASC 842 Lease Accounting, Capitalized Software, Commissions, and Debt Financing, etc.
Enjoys doing ad hoc technical research and will add to the technical accounting bench for the team.
Participate in the implementation and maintenance of the Company's system of internal controls.
Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of accounting policies, thresholds, and procedures.
Partner cross functionally to analyze accounting impacts of anticipated business transactions.
Assist in continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for improvement to support scalable accounting processes, including systems implementations, to ensure compliance and accuracy of financial results.
Create audit-ready support for our external auditors in conjunction with year-end audit procedures and requests throughout the year.
Support ad-hoc projects as needed.
3+ years of either combined public and private accounting (at a publicly traded company) experience, or just public accounting experience. CPA is preferred.
Attention to detail with the ability to analyze underlying data to address unforeseen occurrences and create tactical plans for the team.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities, and adhere to tight deadlines.
Thorough knowledge of US GAAP and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) Internal Control requirements
Excellent written and oral communication skills, active listener, tailors’ communication to the audience
Problem solving and decision-making capacity in a high growth environment.
High emotional intelligence, ability to build and sustain relationships at multiple levels within and outside of finance
Experience with Netsuite ERP or similar
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Accounting required
Good understanding of FX and consolidation is a plus
Enjoys building workbooks and an account reconciliation that tells a story.
Salary range and description
Min $120,000 - Max $145,000 USD per year
Pay offered will vary based on job-related factors such as location, experience, training, skills, and abilities. In addition to the base salary and annual bonus target and an equity component is included in the compensation package.
