Fortinet is looking for a seasoned sales manager to lead our business development team located in Atlanta, GA.  Fortinet is a Gartner leader in the network security solution space and is a publicly traded company under the ticker FTNT.  This position reports to the Director of Business Development and will be responsible for hiring and leading a team of dedicated Business Development Representatives.

 

In this role, you will build and lead teams that manage and create both inbound and outbound generated opportunities. 

As the leader within Business Development, you will collaborate with both Marketing & Sales to develop execute on the business development strategy that aligns with the needs of the global sales organization.

Responsibilities

 

  • Own, develop, and lead all aspects of global business development to meet the needs of the marketing and sales organizations.
  • Hire, manage, and lead a team of 10+ based in Atlanta, GA.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual objectives and targets
  • Discover and implement process, technology, and training to build a highly efficient business development team
  • Work closely with Marketing & Sales Leaders across Enterprise, SMB, Carrier segments to ensure lead quality, quantity, and proper follow up
  • Develop/coach team members

     

Requirements

  • 3+ years in sales management
  • You've been able to hire people with limited / entry experience and have trained them to be highly productive in a short period of time
  • Experience managing a high volume outbound sales team
  • You consistently exceeded quotas and expectations
  • Security industry company experience a major plus
  • Experience using data to make decisions and optimize organizational process
