About the Role
As a Photography Instructor, you’ll design and deliver engaging lessons that blend artistic vision with technical mastery. You’ll guide students through every stage of the creative process — from mastering the basics of camera operation to producing meaningful, portfolio-worthy projects. Your classroom will be a space for exploration, innovation, and artistic growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and teach a comprehensive photography curriculum covering camera operation, lighting, composition, editing, and storytelling.
- Introduce students to both digital and film photography techniques.
- Encourage creativity and critical thinking through project-based learning and collaborative assignments.
- Lead discussions on the history of photography, modern trends, and the social impact of visual art.
- Organize student exhibitions, art showcases, or online portfolios that celebrate their achievements.
- Provide constructive feedback and one-on-one support to help students refine their technical and artistic skills.
- Collaborate with other art and design educators to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to strengthen teaching methods and stay current with industry standards.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Photography, Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education, or a related discipline (Master’s degree preferred).
- Experience: Prior teaching experience or professional work in photography, studio arts, or creative industries.
- Strong technical proficiency in photography equipment, lighting, and editing tools (Adobe Photoshop, Lightroom, or similar).
- A portfolio that demonstrates both artistic creativity and technical expertise.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to motivate students of varying skill levels.

Compensation
Salary Range: $55,000 – $65,000 USD (depending on experience and qualifications)
