About the role
- We are seeking an ambitious and driven Sales Development Representative to join our growing Sales Team. This role involves prospecting potential customers, qualifying leads, and working closely with our Account Executives to move customers through the sales funnel. As a Sales Development Representative, you will be responsible for creating and nurturing strong relationships with prospective clients and helping convert them into satisfied customers.
What you'll do
- Generate, qualify, and nurture leads through outbound and inbound prospecting efforts.
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of Orderfulβs products and solutions.
- Work closely with Account Executives to set up meetings and move leads further into the sales funnel.
- Collaborate with the marketing team on lead generation efforts and provide feedback on the effectiveness of campaigns.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in the CRM system (Salesforce).
- Meet or exceed quarterly lead and meeting targets.
- Foster strong relationships with potential customers to understand their needs and present the value of Orderfulβs solutions.
- Assist with initial product demonstrations to qualified prospects.
- Support the Account Executive team in closing deals by ensuring smooth communication and follow-up during the sales process.
About you
- You have a proven track record selling EDI software and supporting customers with their supply chain initiatives.
- You are an adept salesperson, capable of engaging in business-level and technical conversations at multiple levels of the organization.
- You have experience working with upper middle market and enterprise companies.
- You have an in-depth understanding of the buyer journey and can lead a complex sale in a highly consultative manner.
- You excel at building value in competitive situations.
- You enjoy working on products that require deep product understanding, combined with technical knowledge.
- You are naturally analytical and enjoy digging into business models and helping customers quantify their investment decisions.
- You get excited about prospecting, and can independently lead a sales cycle from start to finish.
- You thrive in an environment where you assist with the development of the sales process, the articulation of the value proposition, and the creation of key tools and assets.
- You believe in building a strong community.
- You strive to find ways to progress in everything you do and you are constantly seeking to learn.
- You have strong negotiation and closing skills.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in a sales role, ideally in SaaS or technology-based products.
- Proven ability to generate and qualify leads.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience working with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.
- Ability to understand and clearly articulate complex technology solutions.
- Highly self-motivated, positive attitude, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Sales, Product, etc.).
- Strong desire to learn and grow in a sales career.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SaaS or EDI-related sales.
- Familiarity with the supply chain, logistics, or EDI industries.
- Knowledge of consultative selling methodologies.
