The Role

Sunbit is seeking a self-motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our Accounting team. In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations and month-end activities, with a focus on our growing loan product. While the primary responsibility is to ensure accurate and timely accounting of Sunbit’s transactions, this role also contributes to process improvements and the ongoing development of our accounting function.

What You’ll Do:

• Prepare monthly analyses and supporting schedules for the loan receivables portfolio
• Import and reconcile banking transactions in NetSuite
• Prepare daily loan product reporting for our bank partner
• Assist with month-end close journal entries
• Review and analyze select general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial reporting
• Support ad hoc accounting projects and process improvements as needed

What You’ll Bring:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 4+ years of general accounting experience 
• Working knowledge of accounting procedures, reconciliations, and financial reporting
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including ability to analyze large volumes of transaction data
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Clear and effective communication skills with internal and external stakeholders

Nice to Have:

• Experience in consumer finance or lending
• Public accounting experience 
• Experience working in a high growth company

How We Pay:

• We believe in paying fairly and equitably based on a number of factors including but not limited to previous experience, relevant work history, interview performance, geographical location, internal equity, and expected level of ownership.
• We are targeting a salary of $90,000 - $105,000 per year for this role
• This role will also be granted company equity via stock options
