Review customer contracts and order forms to ensure revenue is recognized in compliance with ASC 606 and company policy
Prepare and post monthly journal entries for revenue and related accounts
Reconcile revenue-related accounts, investigate variances, and support close processes
Assist in drafting and maintaining revenue recognition documentation, including policy updates and accounting memos
Collaborate with Finance, Sales, and Legal teams to resolve revenue-related questions
Support internal and external audits by gathering data and providing clear explanations
Help implement and optimize revenue recognition tools and systems, including NetSuite (cloud-based ERP software)
Contribute to ad hoc projects, such as process improvements or contract analysis initiatives
2+ years of experience in public accounting, ideally working with public company clients
3–4 years of hands-on experience with ASC 606, including contract review, policy documentation, and revenue memo writing
Strong understanding of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and revenue recognition standards
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA (Certified Public Accountant) license or active progress toward certification is preferred
Comfortable reviewing contracts and applying technical accounting guidance
Strong Excel skills; experience with NetSuite or other ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems is a plus
Detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines without sacrificing accuracy
Clear communicator with the ability to work across teams and explain accounting concepts to non-accountants
The range below reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $90,000 - $115,000.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
