A large multi -modal industrial tract on the eastern seaboard is seeking a Senior Accountant/Accounting Manager (title based on experience) to join its Corporate Accounting team at its headquarters in Sparrows Point, MD, reporting to the Corporate Controller.
<\/div>
<\/div>
Responsibilities<\/strong>:<\/div>
Oversee day -to -day accounting operations, monthly closings, and financial reporting using Yardi Voyager, Excel/SQL, and Oracle NetSuite, with a focus on marine operations.<\/div>
<\/div>
Collaborate with CFO and senior leadership on data analysis for profitability, budget preparation, financial statements, and forecasting, while ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial policies.<\/div>
<\/div>
Act as primary liaison with external auditors, tax accountants, and insurance agencies, and continuously seek process improvements and electronic efficiencies in accounting.

Must -Have Skills<\/strong>:<\/div>
- 4+ years of experience in a corporate or public accounting environment.<\/div><\/li>Strong knowledge of Excel/SQL, project accounting, and revenue recognition rules.<\/div><\/li>Excellent problem -solving, analytical, and communication skills, with a focus on integrity and teamwork.<\/div><\/li><\/ol>
<\/div>Nice to Have Skills<\/strong>:<\/div>- Experience with Yardi Voyager or Oracle NetSuite accounting systems.<\/div><\/li>Background in commercial real estate accounting.<\/div><\/li>Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast -growing company environment.<\/div><\/div><\/li><\/ol>
