Staff Accountant

Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to the finance and accounting operations ofour growing company. This role will play a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting themonth-end close process, and assisting with financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is collaborative, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-pacedenvironment.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and post journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation

Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepanciesAssist with month-end and year-end close processes

Maintain accuracy of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgersSupport the preparation of monthly financial statements and internal reportsAssist with budgeting and financial analysis as needed

Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice and utility processingReview and monitor corporate credit card transactions and supporting documentation

Assist with audit preparation and documentationPartner with internal departments to improve understanding of expenses and budget performance

Qualifications

Minimum of 3+ years of general accounting experience

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred

Preferred Skills & Competencies

Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)

Experience with accounting software or ERP systems (NetSuite preferred)

High attention to detail and accuracy

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively across departments
