Key Responsibilities
Instruction and Lesson Planning
- Create and deliver engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards.
- Utilize a variety of instructional strategies, classroom technologies, and hands-on activities.
- Teach and manage a classroom of 20+ students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Assessment and Evaluation
- Track student performance through assignments, projects, and assessments.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to support academic growth.
- Maintain accurate student records to inform instructional planning.
Classroom and Behavior Management
- Establish clear rules and routines to maintain a productive classroom atmosphere.
- Encourage student accountability and positive behavior through consistent practices.
Communication and Collaboration
- Engage with students, parents, and guardians regarding progress and development.
- Work closely with colleagues and administrative staff to enhance student learning and school initiatives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (in any field) completed prior to starting. A background in education is not required.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Passion for teaching, learning, and fostering student success.
- Ability to work in-person in New York City ($2,500 relocation stipend available for qualified candidates).
Compensation
Salary: $65,000 USD (exact amount may vary based on experience and qualifications)
