Essential Job Functions:
- Manage full-cycle accounting for assigned entities, including general ledger maintenance and month-end close activities.
- Prepare and process customer billings and monitor accounts receivable collections.
- Process accounts payable invoices, payment requests, and vendor disbursements in a timely and accurate manner.
- Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Analyze financial activity and investigate variances or discrepancies.
- Prepare journal entries and maintain accurate supporting documentation.
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking as requested.
- Prepare and file various tax reports and business filings, including sales/use tax, personal property tax, and other required compliance filings.
- Coordinate with internal departments to ensure proper coding, approvals, and financial accuracy.
- Support annual audit requests and provide requested documentation.
- Maintain organized accounting records and documentation in accordance with company policies.
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting, and internal controls.
- Assist with special projects and other accounting or finance duties as assigned.
Minimum Eligibility Requirements
- Bachelorโs degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
- At least 3 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Experience in senior housing accounting preferred
- Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proficient with MS office (especially Excel) and accounting systems (Yardi preferred)
- Motivated self-starter able to successfully set and meet goals
