MDC Precision is seeking a Cost Accountant with 3–4 years of manufacturing experience to support inventory valuation, operational cost data analysis, standard costing, and margin analytics for high-precision vacuum components. Reporting to the CFO, you will deliver cost and profitability insights for management reporting, forecasting, and operational decision-making.

Function & Responsibility
This is a hands-on position in most aspects of accounting for the company with responsibilities to include Inventory and Product Costing. The position will also be responsible for maintaining procedures and processes to aid in achieving company financial targets and goals.
Primary Responsibilities:
Establishes Bills of Materials and Process Routers for new parts.
Work closely with the Engineering & Operations departments to evaluate cost drivers in manufacturing.
Update BOMs and Routers for changes to design or manufacturing methods & processes.
Recommend and implement process changes to costing within MDC’s ERP system.
Develop product cost and profitability analyses and identify process improvements.
Performs periodic Cost rolls and calculation of Direct Labor & OH rates for multiple sites.
Close of Production Orders and prepare work order variance analysis and explanations.
Monthly Reconciliation of Inventory/reporting for multiple locations.
Reviews and analyzes margins and manufacturing variances for multiple locations.
Month End Journal entry preparation and flux analysis.
Monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Ensures all financial reporting deadlines are met.
Responsible for preparation of schedules for annual financial audit as well as bank/tax audits.
Improve financial status by analyzing results, identifying trends, and recommending corrective actions to management.
Prepare and execute the inventory cycle count program and, if required, conduct an annual Physical Inventory.
Ensure daily Consignment Consumptions are correctly invoiced & apply daily cash receipts.
Analyze and review E&O reserve requirements
Research and apply new analytical tools to improve the visibility of company performance.
Performs other duties as assigned by both the Controller and CFO.
