You see the whole business in the numbers.

You close the books with precision, you catch what others miss, and you understand that every entry tells a story about a real property and the people who live there. You want more than a back-office seat. You want a view into how the deals get done. If that sounds like you, we want to meet you.

At Roundhouse, our mission is simple and serious: putting humanity into housing. Since 2008 we have grown into a developer and manager of diverse real estate across five states, with more than 10,000 multifamily units and over $2B in assets under management. We got here by challenging the status quo, taking the long view, and trusting sharp people to keep our finances clean and our decisions well-informed.

As a Staff Accountant, you own the financial accuracy behind our properties and work shoulder to shoulder with Asset Management, Development, and our executive team.

What you'll own

You keep the numbers accurate, compliant, and decision-ready. That means you:

  • Run the monthly close and record journal entries for property-level activity, with full accuracy and GAAP compliance.
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts to sub-ledgers and supporting schedules, and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
  • Audit corporate credit card statements and manage expense reports.
  • Help compile and prepare supporting schedules for interim and annual tax returns.
  • Prepare and coordinate operating, capital improvement, and construction budgets alongside the Asset Management and Development teams.
  • Support due diligence for acquisitions, financings, and refinancings.
  • Prepare quarterly and annual debt compliance packages and other corporate schedules.
  • Partner between Accounting and Asset Management to deliver financial analysis, including property operating results and leasing data, in the monthly reporting package.
  • Run ad hoc financial analyses for executives.

You take ownership of the details, hit your deadlines, and give leaders numbers they can trust.

What you bring

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in US GAAP accrual-basis accounting.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.

  • The ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
