The Senior Accountant will be responsible for the preparation of financial reports, financial analysis and reconciliation of accounts payable and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and finance and is a self-starter with strong analytical skills.
A successful candidate must be able to:
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual general ledger account reconciliations for all types of accounts, including accruals, prepaids, fixed assets and intangibles, to ensure accurate reporting and general ledger reliability.
Prepare monthly journal entries.
Assist with financial statement preparation for monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, including consolidations.
Manage Fixed Assets.
Assist with the annual external audit.
Work with AR, AP, and other departments as needed to resolve issues.
Develops and implements internal controls, and policies and procedures.
Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
Assists in processing invoices for payment, cash receipts, credit card reconciliations.
Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
Begin to mentor staff accountants through leadership and training objectives.
Work with external tax accountants.

Qualifications:
Proven at least 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, 3-5 years of general ledger accounting experience.
ERP system knowledge is required, preferably NetSuite.
US GAAP knowledge is required.
Advanced excel skills, including Vlookups and Pivot tables.
Confident working independently and using initiative to guide through challenges.
Team Player able to assist members of the team with questions.
