Senior Accountant

Ironclad is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. The Senior Accountant will play a pivotal role in managing financial records, preparing financial reports, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role requires strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to lead and mentor junior staff.

Location: Auburn Hills, MI (Corporate Office)

Schedule: Full-time, in-office (M-F)

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Oversee the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Reconcile general ledger accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Full balance sheet reconciliations
• Fixed Asset roll-forward schedules
• Assist in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with external auditors during audits and ensure timely resolution of audit findings.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and areas for improvement.
• Prepare and file tax returns and ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Stay current with evolving accounting and financial regulations and best practices to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA certification preferred but not required
• 5+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
• Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and complex formulas.
