Perform General Ledger accounting tasks for a subset of Sinceri-managed communities. Train and mentor Accountants to ensure compliance with Sinceri policies and procedures while providing excellent customer service and support to our communities and home office teams, as well as property ownership groups.

Core Responsibilities 

  • Record monthly journal entries

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Complete monthly close duties timely and accurately
  • Mentor, train and review work product of Sinceri Accountants
  • Assist with annual budgeting, treasury services, and bank covenant calculations
  • Follow documented procedures to ensure compliance with US GAAP
  • Take ownership of the general ledgers and financial reporting for multiple communities
  • Participate in external audits and year-end tax returns prepared by outside firms as required
  • Establish strong working relationships within the accounting department and across department lines
  • Assist with special projects assigned


Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field and/or a combination of education, training and work experience
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, problem-solving, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient with MS office (especially Excel, Outlook and Teams) and accounting systems (Yardi preferred)
  • Motivated self-starter able to successfully set and meet goals
  • Ability to work well under pressure, establish priorities, and meets deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment and integrity
  • Ability to proactively problem solve challenges and opportunities
