Senior Audit Accountant/Supervisor

Responsibilities:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b> <\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

·<\/span>         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Serving as senior\/supervisor on audit engagements for commercial financial statement audits and <\/span><\/span><\/span>employee benefit plan audits<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>.<\/span>  <\/span><\/span>That includes conducting a review of the work papers prior to managerial review, to ensure that staff auditors properly carried out the procedures assigned to them; that the programs and conclusions are properly completed; and that the documentation of the audit or review work conforms to Firm standards.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

·<\/span>         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Evaluating all technical steps in order to complete and review work papers with Manager or Partner.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

·<\/span>         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Preparing financial statements, notes, schedules, and management letters as needed.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

·<\/span>         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Reporting test conclusions that impact the audit plan, i.e., where insufficient assurance is obtained to meet the audit strategy.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

·<\/span>         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Informing the Engagement Manager\/Partner regarding any audit and accounting difficulties that you may experience with an assignment\/task that could affect our scheduled deadline.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

·<\/span>         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Reviewing and evaluating the internal controls and preparing the audit program and time budget.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

·<\/span>         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Supporting the Manager\/Partner through maintaining a good working relationship with client personnel and other team members and demonstrating an awareness of the client's business.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

·<\/span>         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Providing appropriate on\-the\-job training for Accountants and Interns.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

·<\/span>         <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>Conducting timely performance appraisals for the accountants assigned to work with you.
 <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>

Education and Experience Requirements:<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/b>
<\/span><\/span><\/p>

Minimum of a Bachelor of Science in Accounting w\/150 credit hours\/CPA eligible required. Senior Accountants normally have a minimum of 3 years’ experience as an audit accountant working within public accounting (or equivalent experience as deemed appropriate by the firm).<\/span>  <\/span><\/span>Supervisors will normally have a minimum of 4\-5+ years’ experience as an accountant working within an public accounting firm (or equivalent experience as deemed appropriate by the firm). Experience working on audits for clients in the commercial sector (business services, real estate, manufacturing, etc.) is highly preferred. Qualified candidates should also have excellent communication skills, self\-confidence, and be self\-motivated and capable of working productively in a professional environment. Must be conscientious, detailed\-oriented and have excellent organizational skills. CPA is preferred. MBA\/Master’s degree is also preferred. Basic knowledge of spreadsheet and database applications is required; experience with financial\/accounting software applications are a plus.<\/span><\/span>

In the spirit of pay transparency, we are excited to share the starting base pay range for a Senior\-Supervisor level audit position is $69,000 \- $92,000 annually. Please keep in mind that this range is base pay only and does not consider other components that make up the total rewards package for the position such as eligibility to receive discretionary spot bonus incentives. This range is a reasonable estimate of the current salary range for this position. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and\/or education and geographic location.  It is not typical for a candidate to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the capabilities and experience of the candidate. Incentives, if any, depend on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and firm performance.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
