Recruiting for a Senior Financial Analyst

I am currently seeking a motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join a premier insurance provider in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. This is a vital role within the corporate finance department, focusing on strategic planning, expense management, and performance reporting.

This position operates under a hybrid work schedule, requiring on-site presence Tuesday through Thursday, with the option to work remotely on Mondays and Fridays. Please note that the client is unable to provide visa sponsorship for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee staff planning and the creation of comprehensive expense budgets.

Analyze actual financial results against planned figures and report on significant variances.

Prepare complex financial statements including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.

Develop financial forecasts by monitoring industry trends and economic data.

Partner with various business units to provide technical financial advice and support strategic goals.

Lead financial projects and provide mentorship to junior team members.

Identify and implement process improvements for reporting systems and internal controls.

Conduct ad hoc analysis to assist management in making informed business decisions.

Candidate Requirements

A Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance, Actuarial Science, or a closely related field is required.

At least five years of professional experience in financial analysis or accounting.

Advanced proficiency in data extraction, transformation, and analysis software.

Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and the ability to prepare formal statements.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex financial data to non-finance managers.

A CPA designation or the active pursuit of 150 credits for eligibility is highly preferred.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict reporting deadlines.
