The Staff Accountant partners with the Controller and Finance & Accounting team to support a collaborative, efficient, and scalable accounting function. This role contributes to the delivery of timely, accurate, and reliable financial information to internal stakeholders across the organization.


The Staff Accountant performs a broad range of accounting responsibilities, including reconciliations, recurring monthly journal entries, fixed asset accounting, and support for accounts payable activities as needed. This position works across multiple entities and accounting platforms, collaborating with both parent and subsidiary teams as the organization continues to integrate businesses into a unified global ERP system.


Role Highlights

  • Perform transaction entry, reconciliations and various bookkeeping tasks for multiple entities accurately and timely.
  • Work with Accounting team to assist with accounts payable management.
  • Prepare month end journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Maintain intercompany account balances and reconciliations.
  • Assist with month-end closing process.
  • Assist with the generation of subsidiary financial statements
  • Support financial statement preparation.
  • Assist with year-end, bank, and other regulatory audits
  • Create and maintain new reports to satisfy management needs
  • Work with other accountants in the global group to be able to provide back up as needed, including monitoring sales tax exemption certificate process (e.g., monthly cost reports, multi-state sales (CA, etc.) tax filings (Avalara software program), inventory control, ERP maintenance)
  • Perform administrative activities or other duties to support the office or company, as requested.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Business Administration or Accounting required. Bachelor’s degree in either Business Administration or Accounting strongly preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounting preferred with Bachelor’s degree. Internship hours will be recognized as experience based on tasks performed within the internship. At least 2 years of experience with Associate’s degree. 
  • Previous experience working in one or more accounting or ERP systems preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and Word. Advanced skills in Excel preferred.
  • Ability to quickly learn and use new technologies and programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and demonstrated ability to multi-task while maintaining accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and demonstrated ability to effectively manage time.
