Summary:

The Staff Accountant is responsible for maintaining general ledger accounts, preparing journal entries, and supporting financial reporting for both Niterra North America and Niterra Canada. This role involves completing bank and account reconciliations, reviewing and posting debit and credit memos, preparing consolidation package forms, and supporting J-Sox and external audits. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and brings a strong foundation in accounting principles.

Responsibilities:

  • Create appropriate General Journal entries for both standard recurring and non-standard entries for Niterra North America and Niterra Canada.
  • Maintain assigned general ledger accounts and subsidiary ledgers.
  • Prepare forms for assigned consolidation package for Niterra North America and Niterra Canada Ltd.
  • Review and post debit and credit memos from CBO.
  • Complete bank reconciliations and other account reconciliations.
  • Support both J-Sox and external audits and quarterly reviews.
  • Carry out all other job-related tasks as assigned.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including IATF16949 and ISO14000 related policies as applicable.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 2 years of related work experience.
  • Proficient computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
  • Able to work well both independently and in a team environment.

  • Able to see and hear (correctable).
  • Able to communicate verbally.
  • Able to operate a keyboard.
  • Able to sit for extended periods of time.
