Staff Accountant

We are growing! Villagio Hospitality Group is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team!

GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

• To support the Accounting Department and the company, by carrying out Accounting and Administrative functions for an expanding Hospitality Group. 

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Process Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Process bi-weekly payroll
• Assist the Senior Accountant with daily and monthly accounting functions and perform other financial or administrative tasks as required by Management.
• Manage employee credit card transactions
• General Cashier duties
• Prepare mailings and priority shipments for the Accounting Department and Corporate Office
• Maintain files and prepare correspondence as needed within the department.
• Assist the Senior Accountant in tracking and maintaining company insurance policies

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a role of similar capacity
• A bachelor’s degree in accounting, or a bachelor’s degree in business with emphasis in accounting is preferred 
• Must be detail oriented and have strong organizational skills
• Strong proficiency in using Excel and familiarity with restaurant specific accounting software
• Experience with Restaurant 365 is preferred
• Strong written & verbal communication skills is required
• Must have a strong work ethic, with the ability to be flexible and have initiative to get the job done
