Staff Accountant

Job Overview

Excellent opportunity for a Staff Accountant to join an an exceptional healthcare company located in Lake Worth, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. This role is essential in supporting our financial health and enabling us to deliver high-quality care.

Key Responsibilities

• General Ledger Management: Maintain and reconcile the general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness of financial data.
• Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure timely payments and collections.
• Financial Reporting: Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports, including balance sheets and income statements.
• Budget Support: Aid in the preparation and monitoring of departmental budgets, tracking variances and identifying areas for improvement.
• Compliance & Auditing: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and internal policies, assisting in external audits as needed.
• Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation, supporting efficient audits and reviews.
• Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to resolve discrepancies and provide financial insights to support operational decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the healthcare industry.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with Microsoft Great Plains is a plus.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other departments.
