SUMMARY:

Under the general supervision of the FP&A Manager, this position is perfect for a new graduate looking to gain broad exposure to Financial Planning, Financial Analysis and Accounting. Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to, general ledger accountability, financial reporting, profitability analysis, annual budgets, monthly forecasts, accounts payable and other special projects as needed. 


ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepares monthly financial statements, reports and records by collecting, analyzing and summarizing account information for assigned senior living communities
  • Maintains thorough knowledge and understanding of updated accounting policies, financial systems, transaction processes, internal controls and chart of accounts. 
  • Assists with accounts payable functions for assigned entities
  • Assists communities in revenue planning and resident receivables
  • Partner with operations to produce annual financial plans
  • Monthly reforecasting and analytics in response to changes in occupancy and expenses
  • Support community leadership to track and understand their financial results
  • Assists, as necessary, with audit process.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with emphasis in Accounting, Finance or related field.


LANGUAGE ABILITY

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and partners.


MATH ABILITY

  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.

 

REASONING ABILITY

  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
